But something else resembled this. Homemade CLIFF bars.
I got inspired by this recipe. Camilla from Enlightened Cooking created a recipe for home-made cliff bars (no bake) which resemble the texture and chewiness of the original. Well, I can’t judge since I’ve never tried the original ![]()
I bought rice crispies for the first time some time ago and I planned to make these bars. The recipe was so simple and I adore simple and tasty recipes. Um.. who doesn’t?!
I simplified it a bit further to suit my tastebuds. Here’s my copycat version:
Homemade cliff bars (no-bake)
Ingredients (for 6 bars):
3/4 cup rice cereal + 1/2 cup oats + 1 T flaxseed meal + 1/4 cup raisins + 1/4 cup nuts (pistachios, pecans, chopped almonds) –> combine
1/6 cup chestnut honey + 1/4 c homemade roasted peanut butter –> combine over heat and add to the dry mixture above
1 t vanilla extract –> add to the mixture of dry and wet ingredients, combine well
Press into a pan, put into fridge for 30 min, then cut into bars and voila, that’s it! And yes, they stick together ![]()
Besides CLIFF bars another spread made its way into my kitchen. Nutella. Um..an older version, a newer one, a weird one?
No, it’s another label for home-made Nutella designed in Adobe Illustrator.
/nutella – the sweetest tempation – made with love – 100% natural – DLIW/
No, the jar is not empty!
What looks like a poo (sorry if it’s your lunch time) is actually Nutella.
Ingredients: roasted hazelnuts, pinch of salt, cocoa powder, coconut butter, powdered vanilla sugar, sunflower oil, honey.
Spread over soy patty (okara, homemade soy milk, egg, pinch of salt, hazelnut flour, coconut flakes, wholegrain flour)
Hope the Nutella gets the mark “family approved” aka if my mum or brothers (who eat sweet spreads; my father doesn’t) like it, then it’s APPROVED. Let’s see
On the other hand, the CLIFF bar is already approved by a friend of mine ![]()

Everything looks pretty damn good. I’ve tried to make this bar yesterday. Kinda threw things together and put it in the fridge, didn’t even look at it yet
BTW another amazing label.
If I come across some raw coconut powder even better.
Mmmm ‘nothing like Nutella’ spread looks delicious! I wrote nothing like, because it’s way healthier and has nothing in common with store bought, only the appearance. I bet it taste 100times better!
Spread is next on my to do list, today I will finally buy extra virgin coconut fat
Enjoy your day D!
Yes Miss Katja, thank you SO much for making my day!
